"In a land where the average 65-year-old calls a four-hour hike over a 2500m mountain a Sonntagsspaziergang (Sunday stroll), where giggly three-year-olds ski rings around you on the slopes and where locals bored with 'ordinary' marathons run races backwards, up mountains, for fun - to call Switzerland sporty would be an understatement. It's hyperactive." - Lonely planet Switzerland, 6th edition 2009

Zurich - Appenzell

We start from Zurich where we pick you up at your hostel. Our first stop is at the Rhine fall - the biggest waterfall in Europe. Then we visit St. Gallen with its beautiful old town and the fascinating abbey library. Afterwards you can get the real Swiss feeling by walking through the charming village of Appenzell, visiting a cheese factory and hiking up to an alp where we stay overnight.

Appenzell - Engadin

In the early morning we see the sunrise and after a hearty mountain breakfast we hike back down. We drive to the Engadin valley where we have an afternoon reserved for adventure activities such as river rafting, mountain biking or driving downhill with a scooter. Overnight we stay in the middle of the alps near famous St. Moritz.

Engadin - Ticino

On the way from Engadin to Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, we'll walk into gorges which were formed by raging torrents over centuries. In Bellinzona we explore the medieval castles (Unesco World Heritage) before we drive into a little valley where we take a swim in the crystal clear mountain river and stay overnight.

Ticino - Zurich

In Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, we'll walk into gorges which were formed by raging torrents over centuries. In Bellinzona we explore the medieval castles (Unesco World Heritage) and drive into a little valley where we take a swim in the crystal clear mountain river.
